Nicola Drago is the winner of the XXIV edition of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Family Business category, organized by Ernst & Young Global Limited. This recognition has honoured entrepreneurs since 1997 who cultivate and create successful enterprises, demonstrating resourcefulness and dedication. The award ceremony was held on 24 November 2021 in the setting of Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of the Milan Stock Exchange. The 2021 edition aimed at spotlighting those enterprises that, notwithstanding the pandemic, bravely pursued a growth trajectory, embracing models driven by creativity, global outreach, and innovation, thereby bolstering the resilience of Italy's economic and social system. The award was conferred by an EY-independent jury comprised of representatives from institutions, businesses, and entrepreneurship. They selected the top candidates and honoured Nicola Drago with the esteemed award, citing his “audacity and resourcefulness in leading a business with a rich family history, which enabled him to revolutionize the trajectory within a rapidly changing market, through innovative and forward-thinking strategies”.
